Just a brief explanation about my new username.
About 3 years ago I was having a moment and asked ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) tjernobyl the worst question possible. "Am I beautiful?" To which he responded with an LJ entry that nearly brought me to tears. The entry was titled simply "Metasynthesthia". I've since learned what the word means, and I think it makes me appreciate things all the more.
I asked him what made him percieve me as such, which should have been blatantly obvious to me, but he responded somewhere along the lines that my actual image, and myself on IRC had blended together to create that.

So R. and I are watching what little TV we do watch, and there's a Tornado watch going on somewhere in the States, and all of a sudden their ticker letting people know what to do....
COMPLETELY FAILS.
Sadly, it was the only photo I was able to get, I tried to get another one, but it had turned off by that point. |

I like to think so!
Today is R.'s 30th birthday. I made him a tasty breakfast consisting of Garlic Scrambled Eggs, Scratch Pancakes, and Turkey Bacon. I convinced a friend to grab me some beer on the way home for him to enjoy, and proceeded to work magic with the birthday cake.
I've also made another awesome cake, that I would like to post pictures of, but it will have to wait until after the other birthday boy has seen the surprise. So stay tuned for that, and for pictures of this baby sliced. Only problems with it were the frosting wasn't dark enough, and it's not a triple layer cake. :(
This cake is the best lie ever.
Cake : Cinnamon Cake dyed yellow
Frosting : Cream Cheese Frosting dyed brown
In Lieu of Nutty Coating : Orange sparkly sprinklie dealies

Anyone else as curious about this as I am? Half of me thinks scam, the other half thinks Yeeeeeeeee!
Medison Celebrity $150 Laptop (via Gizmodo)
Yes I realise the specs aren't anything spectacular, but most people I know don't obsess over online gaming like I do, they just loves the YouTubery, MSN, and EMAIL.
Although this doesn't really affect me as I want a desktop to compliment my laptop I already have. But one never knows... I can think of a few people who could use something like this.
Edit: This has gotten pretty hilarious, I've been reading through comments on engadget, RFD and Slashdot. Looks like a lot people don't like the sounds of this, and I suppose I was right to have that initial feeling. I'll still hold out and see. |

So avenray knit a scarf for the statue of St.Joe near the traffic pole cozy, and I climbed up and put it on him, we then ran back for some mismatched/broken knitting needles and a camera that worked, and ran back and took more pictures.
Sadly this afternoon we noticed it was gone. What's so blasphemous about making a nice scarf to keep a statue warm?!

Alright mystery flower person, you win this round!
I can't figure out who left these beautiful orangey/pink lilies in front of my door, but I will find out who! I especially liked the man in the dog house card that said simply "ULTREIA!"
The name Ultreia comes from a medieval Latin word used by travelers to encourage each other as they pressed forward to reach their destination. The word means "ONWARD!"
